Busy Start to November!

 We've had a busy start to the month of November!  Last week Davenche was our Star Student!  We learned that Davenche likes to play basketball, has been to New York, and would like to swim in the ocean.  He also told us that he was born in Haiti!  Thanks for sharing Davenche - we enjoyed seeing the pictures of your family!  We hope you had a great week as STAR!   :)

Last week our spelling pattern was R-controlled vowels (er, ir, and ur), which all have the same /er/ sound!  It is really tricky to remember these words because each of these combinations makes the same sound.  Help your student to review their spelling words!

Last week we were also working on a story called "Turtle's Race with Beaver" and had a lot of discussions about the idea of sharing.  Here is one chart we developed with ideas when it does and doesn't make sense to share!
